Robert Cresswell Boak (1875-1949), The Road to Barnsmore Gap, Co Donegal John Faulkner artist Dublin rust resistantRobert Cresswell Boak was a Donegal born artist who specialised in landscapes, partarticularly focussed on the northwest of Ireland. He was an accomplished etcher as well as watercolourist. Born in Letterkenny in 1875, he and his wife emigrated to London in 1932. Prior to that he exhibited a number of times with the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin. He produced a number of hand coloured, limited edition etchings of landscapes from around Ireland.
