It consists of a heavy glass bottle with a smaller glass vial nested inside. The dual bottle arrangement kept two chemical solutions separated. The Blendkrper were thrown against tanks, smashing the glass containers allowing the chemicals to mix creating a spontaneous volatile reaction.
