Constructed of bronze coloured bakelite, the obverse consisting of a semi oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a banner bearing a raised inscription of GRUPPEN WETTKMPFE (GROUP SPORTS COMPETITION), overlaid by a sword bearing an inscription of DEM SIEGER (TO THE VICTOR), flanked by an inscription of SA GRUPPE DONAU 1939, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 80 mm (h),
