Borinda boliana Meehania needle-like leaves and fluorescent purple(syn: Yushania boliana) We are thrilled to have another clumping bamboo of Sasquatch proportions in Borinda boliana. Our 16 year old clump of the deer resistant clumping bamboo topped out at 12' tall with a basal spread of 15', producing 0. 5 1" diameter arching blue green culms. While it doesn't gallop like running bamboos, this is not a small plant, so allow plenty of space. In warm temperate climates, mature plants of Borinda boliana should top out
