This is a lovely four draw spotting telescope from the Spanish American War era, and it definitely appears to be a rather upmarket example, with a sharkskin cover for the main barrel. There are also fittings on either end, which look like they originally took some type of shoulder strap or carry handle. The telescope is marked on the smallest barrel by the eye piece with the issue information: Signal Department U. S.
