Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid flight, the reverse retaining all four split attachment prongs fitting through an original full length 1939 Iron Cross II Class ribbon, unmarked, the award measuring 24. 55 mm (w) x 24. 50 mm (h), accompanied by its
