Germany, Imperial. A General Honour Cross For 50 Years Of Service Archive Marked "800" - Magnetic center(Allgemeines Ehrenkreuz). Instituted 27 January 1900 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. (1900 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with gilt, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, above a date of 1900, the reverse with a central gilt medallion bearing an inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE), the twelve oclock arm bearing an integral loop connecting to a
